My name is Charbel Wakim, a Lebanese expat living in Frankfurt, Germany.
My story with computers started the first time I saw Doom on a PC, and I was hooked. Later, I begged my parents to get me one, only to dismantle it to see how it works, and it fascinated me.
That's when I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
I am currently a staff engineer for Emma The Sleep Company, pursuing my passion for development, especially e-commerce, to help enhance and update our platform.
I had previously worked with the largest retailers and service providers in the Middle East to build up my professional experience and portfolio as Web Developer, Technical Consultant, and DevEx Engineer before moving to Germany to expand my career.

As I am always eager to add to my skill sets, I got my certification towards DevSecOps.
I am also passionate about AI and its impact on software engineering — from integrating LLMs and prompt engineering into developer workflows, to leveraging tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to supercharge productivity.
